A blend of tea containing various herbs, spices, and plants that has been a traditional medicine for a long time. It has various ingredients with antiseptic,antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory benefits.

Equipment

  • Heat source
  • sauce pot
  • Strainer
  • Teacup

Ingredients
  

  • Herbal teabags or cardamom, cinnamon,cloves, ginger, basil, and mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 Cups water

Instructions
 

  • Add the dry ingredients to thesaucepan. Roast them until you can perceive a pleasant aroma.  It is the same when using loose-leaf herbaltea. Adjust the amounts if you are making light herbal teas.
  • Pour water to the pan and allow it to boil for about 8 to 10 minutes. The infusion is supposed to turn fragrant, and the tea will have reduced int amount to about a cup. 
  • Allow it to cool slightly for two minutes.
  • Return to the fire and heat for 3 minutes.
  • If you are using a teabag, sip the roasting part and steep the tea for 10 minutes
  • Strain the tea and serve.

Notes

If using whole ingredients, choose the fresh ones for the best results.

    Tea is made from either oolong or green tea. Both have a higher concentration of antioxidants than other types of tea. Tea also contains compounds that have antioxidation and immune-enhancing benefits. Herbal tea is not considered as good for you as tea made from green or black tea.
